MET Roam MIPS Helmet

All rides lead to ROAM

The MET Roam MIPS® helmet is designed for all-mountain and enduro riding. Whether you ride Enduro or E-MTB, both require special impact protection. Thanks to the MIPS-C2® brain protection system, the MET Roam floats on the head and effectively dissipates the rotational forces that occur during a fall away from the head.

Mips head protection system

MIPS-C2® technology separates the shell and the liner by a thin plastic layer called the Low Friction Layer (LFL). This LFL, attached with four rubber elastomers, allows the helmet to float on the head and, in the event of a fall, effectively dissipates rotational forces away from the head.

Increased head coverage

The back of the head and the temples are extremely sensitive areas that require special protection. That's why we have extended the coverage of these areas without unnecessarily increasing the weight.

Adjustable visor

With three visor positions, the MET Roam Mips is suitable for all goggles and glasses on the market.

Adjustment system

  • 360° circumferential headband
  • Vertically adjustable in four positions
  • Horizontally adjustable in two positions
  • Suitable for ponytail wearers

Flexible visor

The injection-molded visor is flexible, so it doesn't break on impact, and helps to divert harmful rotational forces away from the neck.

Goggle clips

Thanks to the goggle clips on the visor and a goggle strap guide at the back of the helmet, the MET Roam Mips is compatible with all commercially available goggles and glasses.

Action cam compatible

A channel specially milled into the EPS shell under the upper vents ensures perfect compatibility between action cam mounting straps and the pads inside the helmet.

Ventilation

20 vents and a sophisticated system of ventilation channels in the inner shell ensure optimal airflow throughout the helmet.

Measuring helmet size

When buying a cycling helmet online, it is important to know which helmet size you need. A well-fitting cycling helmet not only ensures optimal safety but also the necessary comfort while cycling.

It's easy to measure your size yourself. By following the steps below to measure your head circumference, you'll have the size you need for a cycling helmet within seconds.

1. Grab a tape measure.

2. Place the tape measure approximately 2.5 cm above your eyebrow and measure the circumference of your forehead.

Please note: Not all manufacturers use the same sizing.
What is size M for one manufacturer might be a size S or L for another. Therefore, always check the size in centimeters.

If you are right on the border, e.g., size M=54-57cm, and your head circumference is 57cm, we recommend taking a size L.
A helmet that is too tight will pinch, resulting in headaches and discomfort. If you have a helmet that is slightly looser, you can still wear a cycling cap or a beanie underneath.
