Measuring Helmet Size
When purchasing a cycling helmet online, it's important to know what size helmet you need. A well-fitting cycling helmet not only ensures optimal safety but also the necessary comfort while cycling.
It's easy to measure the size you need yourself. By following the steps below to measure your head circumference, you'll have the size you need for a cycling helmet within seconds.
1. Grab a tape measure.
2. Place the tape measure approximately 2.5 cm above your eyebrow and measure the circumference of your forehead.
Please note: Not all manufacturers use the same sizing.
What is size M for one manufacturer might be size S or L for another. Always check the size in centimeters carefully.
If you're on the borderline, e.g., size M=54-57cm, and your head circumference is 57cm, we recommend taking a size L.
A helmet that is too tight will pinch, resulting in headaches and discomfort. If you have a helmet that is a bit looser, you can wear a cycling cap or a beanie underneath.
