A flat tire always happens at the most inconvenient time. Luckily, you can easily replace an inner tube yourself.
Supplies
- Tire levers
- New inner tube
- Bicycle pump
- Patch kit (optional)
Step 1 — Remove the wheel
Detach the wheel from the bicycle.
Step 2 — Remove the outer tire
Use tire levers to carefully loosen the tire.
Step 3 — Check for sharp objects
Check the outer tire for glass or small stones.
Step 4 — Install the new inner tube
Lightly inflate the inner tube before installing it.
Step 5 — Reinstall the tire
Check that the tire is properly seated in the rim.
